Rosehip Seed Carrier Oil

Rosehip Seed Oil is extracted from cold pressing the  seeds of rosehip fruits.  It helps to promote a glowing and revitalized complexion, promoting brightness and a plump, youthful appearance.

Rosehip carrier oil nourishes and supports the skin, it has been found that the oil has helped in tissue regeneration; having an effect on the skin to prevent premature ageing, minimise wrinkles and reduce scar tissue. The oil has a red to golden colour which is due to the carotenoids in the hips, the seeds make up 70% of the fruit and this is the source of the oil.  

Rosehip seed oil can help the skin in the following ways:

• Vitamin C: This antioxidant combats visible signs of aging and sun damage.
• Essential fatty acids: These promote elasticity, support a healthy lipid barrier, and reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
• Provitamin A (trans-retinoic acid): A natural derivative of retinol, it aids in cell regeneration, resulting in firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin. It also reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and pigmentation.
• Vitamin E: This vitamin helps hydrate and nourish the skin.

Rosehip Seed Oil can  be absorbed  into the skin easily without leaving a greasy residue. Suitable for sensitive, dry, damaged, mature, sunburned skin. Additionally, it can be beneficial for scarring, stretch marks, acne, eczema, dermatitis, and radiotherapy burns.

The oil will keep for up to 2 years in a cool, dark place. Use 25% or less to a base carrier oil.
