Geranium bourbon essential oil has a strong floral aroma and a hint of mint, and is cleansing and uplifting.

How to use?  

4-5 drops in bath, on tissue or in a vaporiser. 15 drops in 50ml carrier. 

WARNING – do not apply undiluted or internally. Keep away from children and eyes. Store in cool, dark place.

Plant characteristics
It is a hairy perennial shrub, often used in hedgerows, and stand up to about one meter high (3 feet) with pointed leaves, serrated at the edges and has pinkish-white flowers. 
Oil characteristics
Geranium Bourbon is a strong smelling oil with a floral aroma and a hint of mint, greenish yellow in colour. 
Traditional use
The plants originated from South Africa as well as Reunion, Madagascar, Egypt and Morocco and were introduced to European countries such as Italy, Spain and France in the 17th century. 
Blends well with
Basil, bergamot, clary sage, fennel, grapefruit, jasmine, juniper, lavender, lemon, lemongrass, neroli essential oils
Cautions and comments
Geranium oil is not recorded as indicating any side effects since it is non-toxic, non-irritant and generally non-sensitizing. It can cause sensitivity in some people and due to its balancing effects.
